Overview

Escalation is a mobile game developed by Yokocho Labs ("we", "us", "our"). Your privacy is important to us. This policy describes what information Escalation collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

Escalation collects anonymous gameplay telemetry only when you opt in. On first launch, you are asked whether to enable telemetry. You can change this at any time in the Pause Menu.

Google Play Games Services (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, the following additional data is processed by Google:

This data is managed by Google under their Privacy Policy. Sign-in is entirely optional — you can play without it.

Anonymous Identifier

When you opt in to telemetry, a random identifier (UUID) is generated and stored locally on your device. This identifier is not linked to your identity, device hardware, or any account. It exists solely to group gameplay events within a session.

How We Use Your Data

We use anonymous gameplay telemetry to:

Third-Party Services

Telemetry data is sent to PostHog, a product analytics platform, hosted in the United States. PostHog processes data on our behalf under their privacy policy.

If you sign in with Google Play Games, your leaderboard scores, achievements, and cloud saves are processed by Google under their privacy policy.

Data Retention

Telemetry data is retained for up to 12 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Google Play Games data is retained according to Google's policies.

Your Choices

Children's Privacy

Escalation does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The game does not require an account and does not collect personal information. The optional anonymous telemetry described above applies equally to all players.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
